- Use stainless steel prophy cups instead of disposable prophy containing cups
- Use biodegradable disposable cups instead of regular paper cups
- Use disposable, plastic or paper barriers only when necessary
- Teach patients to turn off the faucet when they brush
- Educate patients not only about oral health but protecting the health of the environment
Management
- Front office with electronic patient charting and billing to reduce paper
- Use chlorine-free, high post-consumer recycled paper products instead of traditional paper products and print double-sided if necessary
- Turn off the computer when we leave the office for the day
- Send appointment reminders through email or text message
- Receive and store financial statements electronically
Construction
